Re: Online net salary calculator?

Hi!

Normally you can check online how much you have to pay for taxes according to the Kanton. This can be found on your Kanton's website. Normally it's a pdf document giving you all the figures (single, children, etc.).
However, I just had a quick look at the Geneva page and only found French information. My French unfortunately isn't good enough to find the right information for you. Sorry, hope that your French is better (or you find the right button to change the language - which I did not).
Just in general, you are normally not paying more than 20-25% including insurances etc.

Good luck

Re: Online net salary calculator?

Credit Suisse do one I believe, or you could divert that a little of that salary and get an exact calculation by an professional, but given your industry I'm stunned you can't calculate it yourself.

For "natural persons", i.e. not a company/corporation for Canton Zurich

I am puzzled by these calculations. When I was at the interview for a new job in CH, I asked the HR manager:what would be the percentage of the gross salary which is covered by the social contributions and taxes. Her answer was: 32-35%. It seems that it does not fit with what I calculate with these tools. I maybe make a mistake with the calculators or the information I received is not OK.

Re: Online net salary calculator?

You will be paying circa 12'180 in social security plus circa 60'900 of tax (so 34-35% in total). If you have pension contributions (you will) and other deductions you will be able to lower your taxable income and pay less tax.

Maybe the HR person included compulsory health insurance?

Company Pension (BVG) 58'140.00 CHF 4'456.43

Thirded, but why is your health insurance so high? (unless you have opted for far more than the basic compulsory)
