I will be moving to Switzerland in the next couple of months as my partner will be starting a new role based in Geneva.

I work in Media selling advertising space for a large media owner based in the uk.

What i'm looking for:-

1. Any info on how to go about finding a job within the advertising or media industry? (Flexible on type of work - Account Exec, Sales Exec etc).
2. Any Ad agency websites
3. Media agency websites
4. Recruitment websites (in english if possible)
5. Salary expectation for 1 years experience a degree and a postgrad in advertising
6. Any companies recruiting for entry level marketing
7. Any other advice would be a great help!

Can you speak French or German? I think that would be necessary to land you a job in media/advertising here.

Most of the media/agencies/film production is located in Zurich. But some international agencies have offices in Geneva, e.g. McCann Erickson.

No I don't speak French or German.....Hmmm i thought it was going to be difficult to find something. This decision to move to Geneva has been quite a recent thing so i haven't had a chance to browse through websites. First stop was this forum. I think i'm going to take a look at some UK ad agencies to begin with to see if they have offices in Geneva. Like you said McCann do and M&C Saatchi or Saatchi and Saatchi have just opened an office out there (not sure which). More googling to be done i think!

Does anyone know of any companies in Geneva that are recruiting for Marketing/brand manager/advertising/media sorts of jobs that are entry level/grad opportunities?

I have 1 years experience in the industry so i'm not a fresh grad as such. Any companies or agency websites i can look at?
