I am an Irish Patent Attorney (Part qualified) with 4 years experience. I have been asked by a poteintial employer in Zurich how much salary I would expect. I know that the cost of living in Switzerland is higher than Ireland therefore I Know that I should expect much more salary than I am on here in Ireland in order to maintain a good standard of living.

How much salary should a patent attoney (or any attorney) with 4 years experience expect to receive in Zurich?

A lot of the salary question would be based on the company and their specific needs and "position". A luxury goods firm would pay more than most other industries (you have not told us the industry or specific circumstances of the job). Do you have any special skills that they need?

Base on a conversation a friend had with a firm in Swiss French area, you would probably be looking in the CHF 140 - 180 range.
