I am new in this forum, and would like to ask what would be the salary range for a Senior Process Engineer in Zurich? Industry is in Solar Technology, and responsibilities include people management as well. I am currently working in Germany (semicon industry), but considering to move to switzerland.

Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

Its pretty hard to comment without your CV highlights, but I know CS (a bank and not a solar tech company) employs CMMI implementers at around 100-120,000 CHF, and 6Sigma blackbelts around 160-180,000.

As a general rule, the difference between DE and CH is, as you have probably heard, slow promotion, remuneration normally linked to age and sex, better bonuses, no health insurance and never, ever, mention in an interview that you want to live in Switzerland, they'll just lower the offer.

Thanks for your response. My field of expertise is Thin Film Technology, with more than 10 years of solid experience in the electronics industry. Not six sigma certified but have project management experience. I know I have a lot of things to consider before making the decision to move in Switzerland: salary, social insurance system, health insurance, child benefits, maternity benefits, annual vacation, etc...

Any info on the comparison between Germany & Switzerland in terms of these things would be very helpful.
