I am a Unix Engineer 10 years experience. How hard will it be for me to find a job in Switzerland? I only speak English and don't have a permit. Any advice would help.

You would need a company to sponsor you as you are non EU and I assume not married to a swiss national.

As a UNIX engineer you may be able to apply for work from the USA for Jobs in Switzerland, but they often like people to have permits sorted first.

You could apply for a work permit but I believe it is hard to get, but I am not an expert someone else may be able to help you with this query.

Hi, You will need to find a company which will sponsor your residence permit application. The company will need to prove that no EU or Swiss citizen can do the job which you will be doing (assuming you are a non-EU citizen). This doesn't seem to be too difficult though. I just received my residence permit to work as an Electrical Engineer. I just finished my M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and only have about 6 months of experience.
