Re: RAV - Unemployment - Translator

Well, I got to the unemployment office last Friday and the career advisor did speak English. He mentioned that when you register in the unemployment office and they arrange an appointment with the career advisor, they do not know if the career advisor does speak other languages. ( really!?) It was almost 1 hour and he was very honest and told me that he has not seen yet a position that might suit my skills. Not that it surprised me but as an optimistic person, I hoped for another comment.
I am waiting to get an answer from the ‘benefits office’ as if I am or not entitled to unemployment assistance. I provided all the documents they requests and now they want some extra ‘kopie’.
We’ll see if I can contribute with extra info to the forum after all this. Thank you all for your comments and for sharing your experiences!!!
