My neighbor is a Croatian nurse I'll ask her how things stand. What languages do you speak?

Re: croatian nurse to CH!?

if you dont speak german, french or italien fluently then the red cross will not recognise your nursing qualification and therefore you will not be able to nurse here

What does the Swiss Red Cross (a non government organization) have to do with recognizing qualifications? Nothing, to my knowledge! Please be careful if you spread such myths.
The Swiss Red Cross is indeed the organization that accredits nursing qualifications in Switzerland.

Interesting to hear! Your source, please?
Rule on language fluency:
"Sprachkenntnisse Im Rahmen des Anerkennungsverfahrens müssen Sie sich über genügende Sprachkenntnisse in einer Landessprache (Deutsch, Französisch oder Italienisch) ausweisen."

It's however correct to say that someone who is not fluent in at least one of our four national languages (English or even Croatian are not part of them) will have minimal to no chances to get a job as a nurse over here.
i am not in the habit of spreading myths!! as others have now pointed out to you, the red cross is indeed the organisation who regulates nursing . i am a fully qualified UK nurse who has indeed been thru this process and was passing on my findings !!!...........
