Useful advice especially for Swiss labor market

I think that each country's labor market has its own distinctiveness that make it special and differentiate if from other countries' labor markets, and Switzerland possibly is no exception to this rule.
It would be better for every job hunter if he knows any special circumstances that apply to the specific country's labor market. In our case: Switzerland's labor market conditions.

Today, in most countries, the job hunter should have in hands a cv and a cover letter. But what else besides that when we talk about Switzerland?

If somebody wants to find a job in a Swiss company, which things need special attention? Which things are taking place in Swiss labor market that possibly may not happen to other labor markets?
What about 'do' and 'don't' rules to keep in mind when approaching a Swiss company?

Please, I want you to understand that this topic is not a general discussion about approaching companies everywhere, but a topic about writing down and discovering what makes Swiss companies special, and how to better approach Swiss employers. A Swiss-oriented discussion for Swiss labor market. Except if Swiss labor market has the same rules like all other countries in the world, say Usa, Spain, Uk etc. If this happens, then this topic has no point at all.

At last, do Switzerland's employers differentiate from employers of other countries, or my assumption is wrong?

Anybody that would like to contribute with past or present experiences specifically in Swiss labor market and possible comparisons with other countries, is welcome to add comments.
Also if anybody would like to help even with pm for his own reasons, feel free to do it.

Your contribution and your participation will be valuable for me.

Re: Useful advice especially for Swiss labor market

Do I have to assume that Swiss employers have the same attitude like all other employers all over the world?

The first line of your original post answers this "I think that each country's labor market has its own distinctiveness that make it special and differentiate if from other countries' labor markets, and Switzerland possibly is no exception to this rule."

Get to the point maybe ?
