Hi,

I had an interview this week and am wondering is it customary to send a thank u email? I read that this is what's done in Switzerland on a website but am just unsure.

Thanks,

Louise
Only if you didn't perform well at the interview, they might be impressed by your "kindness", otherwise they will call you straightaway to make an offer.

Re: Interview etiquette

FWIW, as I know you sent the email... I interviewed for 2 different jobs with 7 different people, and sent handwritten thank you notes immediately following the interviews making reference to our conversations. I got offers from both (and not right away).

I don't know that it actually made any difference, but apparently it didn't hurt!

I have sent emails as well, especially when I didn't care as much or want the job as badly as the two above.

Good luck!
