| Signature registration with HANDELSREGISTER is it absolutely necessary? Is it absolutely necessary to have ones signature registered with HANDELSREGISTER? Most of the Swiss banks make all of their employees (not support staff) have their signatures automatically registered with HANDELSREGISTER. HANDELSREGISTER says that it is absolutely not necessary as only people who are on the board of the banks and who need to sign contracts or other important documents on the behalf of the banks need to have their signatures registered. If someone does not want to have their signature registered with HANDELSREGISTER and if it is not necessary for daily work, can they refuse to have it registered or will the bank force them to do it? There is so much identity fraud and MoneyHouse publishes records of these signatures together with other information on individuals that can be accessed via internet by anybody anywhere in the world and use it for identity fraud. I heard that in Switzerland employers are not allowed to put their employees at risk. Does anyone have any experience in this area? Is it OK for an employee to refuse to have the signature registered with HANDELSREGISTER? Would refusal jeopardise their employment? |
