Graduate student with 5 years prior experience _salary expectations?

HI everyone!

I know there have been already some threads concerning salary expectations, but I would really appreciate some advice with regards to my particular case.

I am 26 years old, non-EU, hold Master’s Dagree and have about 5 years experience in Procurement, obtained in my country . Currently I am finishing my second Master program in Swiss university and need to find internship, or more preferably, a job. Unfortunately, my level of French is not enough to use it as a working language, German - I don’t speak at all, so I look for the positions in English. My student B permit is valid only for internships, for other positions, I would have to obtain working permit.

Taking into consideration everything mentioned above, what could be my salary expectations, say, for a position like purchasing assist? I checked with salary calculator and not sure it reflects the reality, at least in my case. Moreover I am confused with my status - from one side I am a graduate student, from the other side I am an experienced employee.
I am not in the situation to be fastidious, because I need to find a job ASAP, but still I want to have more or less fair salary.

Thank you so much for your advices!

Re: Graduate student with 5 years prior experience _salary expectations?

expect around 70 ish. to start. It is not about the degrees you have in regards to salary. It is about experience. Now if your experience is something you can take into a new job then you can expect higher. If this is a new career path with no experience then well expect what I said above......Take this with a grain of salt as it differs from everyone and that is why there is not a single answer. search the other threads and find one that is closest realted to you....
