Software Engineer Salary - Berna

Hello

Next month I will start working in Switzerland as Software Engineer. I have some onsite interviews next week, and I am looking in Internet some information about average salary for my work.

I have seen many difference between one to other forum, website, etc. about salary espectatives.

This is my professional profile:

Software Engineer Bach.
Software Engineering Expert Master
5 years experience in LAMP, JS, HTML (Software Development)
2 years experience in Requeriment Analysis and .NET, MSSQL Development

I am 25 years old.

Can anyone tell me a normal salary in order to have a reference in my interviews?

I am not sure about salaries in Bern, but I'd say between 75K and 95k CHF

while i generally agree with your comment, I also interviewed candidates for a position who started programming at the age of 15 (in C, C++ or even java).

It all depends on your experience, and whether you land a role in a financial institution.

You say you will be starting work in Switzerland yet you don't know your salary ? Maybe you think you may be starting work in Switzerland next month, depending on your interviews

I'd second this one. Somewhere within this interval, I'd say here you have a realistic expectation for your experience, but of course depending on how the final interview goes, you can try to reach the superior endpoint.

Sorry, I was fooled by the thread's name, but I looked again at his profile. Nope, he'd probably annoy the employer with such unrealistic...err..demand. Nevertheless, we should give people hope, don't you think ?

I only want some information about the salary, because is very possible that the companies in the interview ask me about the salary expectations, or tell me some quantity, to have a littel guide.

Maybe, it would be better it you could improve your english before asking for some salary figure.
It looks like we're out of the recession if someone can define himself as an Expert SW Engineer at 25 years and still kept into account by someone.
