Hi,
I am in Zurich. I am planning to attend the SAP training. Can somebody please let me know whether SAP Labs has their own training center in Zurich or not? If yes where it is in Zurich?
Thanking you in advance for your active cooperation.
With regards,
Bunty

Try here. First hit of google.ch
Training in Zürich is in German. For French, you need to go to Lausanne. For English, the UK, US, Singapore, India, Thailand, South Africa...

The main SAP campus is in Regensdorf which is about 15 mins on the train from Zurich Hbf.
The site is in easy walking distance from the station.

Hmm... err... well? What part of that was so confusing?
Here are some tips/suggestions - Try writing the SAP center at Zurich (yes, in English) and ask them if they offer training in English, or even better, try calling them up first thing monday morning.
Alternatively why don't you also ask the UK guys if they offer training in German. May just work you know.

Perhaps being able to find an SAP training centre that teaches in an appropriate language is part of the entry prequalification to the training course? | | The following 4 users would like to thank weejeem for this useful post: | |

I was told by SAP coordinator that they don't provide training in English in Switzerland, however, they do have short period training (10 days) in English from time to time. At the end of the training, there is an exam, giving you a certification if you pass it successfully. The price two years ago for one of such 10 days training was 8'200 CHF +VAT 7.6%.
E-learning is always an option.

Hi Guys,
I just dropped a mail to the SAP training center in Regensdorf- thanks for the hint. I also thought about taking part in an online SAP course. I found a homepage at http://www.e-learningcenter.com/sap.htm which looks reasonable.
I need to learn SAP in English to get a job in area of Logistics in central Switzerland. I have deep knowledge in Baan and in Movex but nobody takes care about that.
Do you know which version of SAP is mostly used here in Switzerland?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Robert10

Assuming you're talking R/3 (ECC), the versions in use in Switzerland vary between 4.6C and whatever the latest version is - why would it be otherwise? There may be companies using older versions, but unless they've a special deal (like the one I know using 4.6C), they're out of support.
Do you have an actual job offer, requiring you to learn SAP logistics modules in English, in central Switzerland, or is this speculative?

Dear NotAllThere,
Thanks for the quick reply. I don't have a job offer now so the question is theoretical. I think that lack of SAP knowledge is one of the main reasons I'm not invited to many interviews (other is of course lack of fluent German which I continuously improve). That's why I'm about to take part in an SAP course, the sooner the better. Thanks.

No, there are no English-based SAP trainings in Switzerland (for the simple reason that it is not the main work language here). Large multinationals either organize their own trainings, or send people to London, Amsterdam, etc.
Note that in order to participate to the training, you need either a client number or a consultant number.
Finally, an SAP training without project experience will not carry much weight... it will cost you a bundle (about 2000 CHF per week training, not including travel costs and hotel; and you would need a cycle of 3 or 4 trainings).
