Re: Professional CV photos (Zürich)

Two dated threads relate to the topic at hand:

Picture on a CV?

Swiss CV vs American CV

Some places mentioned in this thread for a CV photo.

Re: Professional CV photos (Zürich)

It is not mandatory but i still need to have a quality profile photo on the company's web-site. Passport photos could in principle be used but i'd like to have a professional one.

If you have the job and need a picture for the website you don't need a CV photo, surely?

The title is a wee bit misleading

I do apologize for this I need an electronic one for my current job plus I'm sending out some new applications to mainly German companies. CVs with pictures are a standard in Germany.

There have been court cases about this and some companies refuse to accept CVs with pictures now.

Will try to find a reference...

Hi, everyone!
I would really appreciate if you can recommend some (preferrably English-speaking) Zürich-based photographers
Thanks a lot in advance,
blum_n
Drop a PM to EF member Karlnmik. He is a Zurich-based professional photographer.

Since 2006, in Germany, the "Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz" (anti discrimination act) has required that companies may not request photographs.

Nonetheless, job strategists advise including a photograph in the application dossier. Whether you like it or not, it is the standard in Switzerland.

Re: CV Photos in Zurich

I know it is digging up something of an old thread, but for those that might be looking to get photos done now I can recommend Manuel Fischer at http://www.freshpixel.ch/

I have just been to his studio over by Bhf Stettbach. Fast, easy and convenient.
