Hi all,

After a quick trawl of the forum I realised Zurich seems to be the place for that wonder of wonders, the pub quiz - but what about Basel?

Anyone know of any going on? Otherwise I'd be up for trying to organise something...

There is no regular organized pub quiz event in Basel. The only pub i know of that does a quiz night is Pickwick's, on Sundays. Not sure if its every week or not. I would be interested to come along if you organize something.

Hmm, may have to put my organising hat on then... I'm afraid I'm not a big fan of Pickwicks.

I think McGuinness's would be a great place to have one - the layout would be perfect for a quiz [size of the place, stage/mic/speaker system].

At our book club chat yesterday we enthused about the chance of a pub quiz in Basel - so if you need more encouragement (or even a helping hand) - here it is. Plenty of us would love it

Just make sure you don't wear baseball caps. The owner has banned them.

I know a few people who would be up for a quiz though so this is a great idea

Is this a General Knowledge quiz or something totally different? It's been years since I did any serious quizzing.

travnett - I see your point, yes, the bar staff are lovely and the owner... well, an acquired taste I suppose.
