Where can we get a (very) good Rösti in Bern?

I presume you are not actually contemplating buying INSTANT Rösti. If you plan going out to eat it this Thread belongs in Restaurants... where it now finds itself. Hope you get a good Rösti.

I'm not an expert but I've taken visitors to eat Rösti at the Altes Tram Depot and also Restaurant Anker next to the Kornhaus. The Tram Depot one is probably nicer (in my opinion), but Anker has a cute style of presentation, serving them in small iron frying pans, and offers several whimsical variations on the traditional recipe (with different meats and such added.)

Better than both of these: go into the mountains and eat Rösti for lunch after a morning skiing or hiking. The food might not be better than in Bern but it will taste fantastic.

But the "Berner Rösti" you can get in Coop is really good even if I add soy sauce and Harissa to it

The best rösti in the canton Berne is served at the "Berggasthaus Trachsellauenen", open from May to October.
Drive to Lauterbrunnen - Stechelberg and walk to Trachsellauenen (about 1 hour from Stechelberg)

In the city of Bern try Zur Grosi, on Barenplatz. They serve very good Swiss food and lovely Rösti.

Thanks for all your replies. When I was just going through the replies I felt like eating 1 immediately...

I have advanced my plan..eating rösti not in this weekend but coming thursday.. Waiting for the Rösti dinner..

If I get rösti in my dream today then I will then have to advance the plan and for my tomorrow's lunch.. Let's see
