Any recommendations for a place that does good ribs? Have not really come across good ribs here in Switzerland and was wondering if there is any place in the Zurich-Zug-Luzern area that either specializes in ribs or does excellent ribs.

Just come over to my house... Rumor has it that there will be a BBQ on the Rhein in the next few weeks, and Southern Style ribs will be on the menu....

This place does quite nice ones.

There is a place in Mettmenstetten, Kanton ZH called Steak am Bahnhof where they do great steaks and spare ribs.....

Sheest... it's hard enough to get a table there at the best of times, some secrets are best kept

Make them yourself, I use Soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce in the following recipe,

To soften the meat it helps to boil them first for 20 minutes. (If you can't find Spare Ribs, ask
at the butcher counter, they usually have them in the store room.)

I've eaten there a few times although I always order gnu - recommended. Do ribs at home - boil in vegetable stock for 45 minutes and then marinade in a BBQ sauce, grill or barbecue very hot and baste with more sauce half way through. I use Jamaican jerk sauce. Mmm.

Give me a weeks notice, gonna get some beef ribs for that and ferment some Chimichurri for that do.

I had ribs in the Zeughauskeller on Saturday. I enjoyed them, but it might have been the novelty of eating a decent amount of meat in Switzerland that threw me.

We tried the famous "Burgermeister Hans Waldmann Sword"there. Quite delicious

If only they'd open a Fogo de Chão over here.
