Anyone know any half decent karaoke bars in Zuerich that are reasonably central? I've been to Lauschuli (Selnaustrasse) already and it was a tad lack lustre. Recommendations welcome as I was considering arranging a EF karaoke social

There is a Karaoke bar/Chinese food restaurant near where I live at the Corner of Asylstrasse and Klosbachstrasse (tram stop Römerhof). They have Karaoke Friday and Saturday nights. I've never been but it says they're open to 4 AM on the weekends.

Laulushli or whatever it's name is - near Selnau - very good.

I second Laulushli Karaoke - good place for a group night out.

And not wanting to blow my own trumpet but I once won a Karaoke competition - in Tokyo! And I was up against the CEO of Tokyo Telecom in the final . Won it with the Eagles "Tale It Easy".

Now the funny thing is I can't sing. Never have been able to, flat as a very flat pancake that's been run over by a road roller and then ironed. I have been booed off every Karaoke stage since. I am, in a nutshell, utter crap.

But those Japanese, they recognise hidden talent when they see it .

It is like a hanging out place/club that have Karaoke, Disco, Billiard, Darts, Bar and Lounge facilities.
I am not a Karaoke fan, so cannot really tell if it is good or not. Just went once, since I happen to know one of the owners.
I think they charge Sfr10 entry (incl 1 free drink) over the weekend. Normal day free of charge.

Does anyone know of any regular karaoke nights in Zürich, Basel, Bern or somewhere in that region?

I keep hearing of a new Karaoke bar / cocktail bar around the "Central" area (ZH)...is this a myth or does it really exist?? Does anyone know of it?

I would like to know that too, it sounds more like the place i am looking for. I may be fussy but a chinese or thai restaurant doesnt strike me as a lot of drunken fun. I could be wrong however, never been to one

I think I have seen it.
If you walk down the road from Central in the opposite direction to Bellevue (the limmat being to your left) then about hundred meters ahead this place should come up to your right.
........cant remember the name of the place.. but remember reading Karaoke sign ...
