[Zurich] Restaurant Haute - has anyone been there?

hi there

I wander past this place on the way to work. It seems to be in a gorgeous location, at the top of a tall building in central Zurich. Has anyone been there, and if so, what's it like?

It's at Talstrasse 65. www.haute.ch

Also, is it a club, or a restaurant?

Thanks in advance...

Looks interesting, but the website designer should be shot for coming up with the blandest website for a venue that I have ever seen. Is is open yet ?

Yeah, it's been open for a while. It's also on the top of the tallest downtown building in Zurich (it seems), and the restaurant itself can be seen for a fair distance.

I've been there a few times with work contacts who belong to the club, which I believe is members-only. The restaurant has stunning views, and is quite posh - you will see everything from Middle Eastern sheikh-types to high-profile bankers with their model-girlfriends. Food was pretty good, but I got the feeling it was more about being seen out and about.

I concur - members only (company I work for has a membership). I enjoy taking my clients there - best part is the view (esp. on a clear day) and the great service (which is rare here, as you know).

Not sure what the criteria is for membership.....drop a line / give them a call - they are v. friendly...

The view is breathtaking indeed, food and service are average IMHO.

Great, wonderful food beautiful views, how do the plebs get in if we do, will we see the view? Would you pay for a meal there out of your own pocket?

Just curious.

Re: [Zurich] Restaurant Haute - has anyone been there?

been there coz my boss, who's a member, invited me. there are 2 different types of membership: during-the-day and all-day. either one costs a a few thousand franks a year. seriously! to become a member 2 existing members have to recommend you, but there's a waiting list. my boss had to wait for about 3 months.

You can enjoy about the same view from the Jules Verne bar:
