Wedding party restaurant recommendations (Zurich)

We`re having a small wedding at Zurich Stadthaus in September and need help chosing a restaurant for dinner afterwards.

There will only be around 11 guests and most are travelling from the U/K so we`d like something special for them without busting the bank.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Stephen

Re: Recomnendations for restaurants (Zurich)

Have you considered one of those Zunfthaus?

They are typical for Zurich and serve fantastic food. Some are really expensive, some are on the cheaper side.

I can also recommend http://www.muggenbuehl.ch/ in Wollishofen.

The food is excellent and there is a playground for children.

Found 2 good restaurants in Zurich

Sharing our latest 2 findings for a good/interesting restaurant for a night out in Zurich. The first one is called Didi's (http://www.didisfrieden.ch/) one of those "the chef cooked what he wanted" type of restaurant with a monthly seasonal menu and a fixed "basic" menu. The type of dishes that you won't be able to cook at home. Good food, good wine list, a casual yet refined atmosphere (think professors, theatergoers, hip couples in their late 30s early 40s). The second one is Josef (http://www.josef.ch), a modern cuisine concept, in a hip, think NY's SoHo, style. Good bar too. Share your thoughts!

good inexpensive food in zurich can be found at chiang mai, just behind the hauptbahnhof in zurich, ideal for those who like spicy food.

Breakfast paradise in Zurich

Strangely hidden website for Babus, see website here, no great detail Im afraid.
They offer, scrambled or fried eggs with speck and rosti, that sort of thing,
well presented and delicious, around 20chf but then you will have to order a slice of cake afterwards, too hard to resist.
At least the website gives you the address. ideal for Sat or Sun brunch.
Let me know what you think if you go there!

Something with a view (and much better food than Waid or Üetliberg):
