Best place for Gschnetzeltes?
OK, so I'm late with this, but ...
My sister will be here in Zurich tomorrow and she wants to eat Gschnetzeltes. Best place I know of is Zimmerleuten, and frankly that's more than either of us wants to spend. Recommendations? (It's been years since I was at Z'leuten so maybe it's not as crazy expensive as I think it is). All help appreciated.

Zeughauskeller at Paradeplatz. They will even let the ladies share a portion with an extra rösti.

AFAIK, http://www.kronenhalle.ch/ is the place to go for Zürcher Gschnetzeltes.
It's 55 CHF per person, with Rösti.
You can't dine more "Swiss" than this place.

Never been there, though.
A critic once complimented them for not adding rocket to everything ;-)

Mövenpick has a really good Zürigschnätzlets. The only restaurant left in Zurich is the Palavrion. More information here http://restaurants.moevenpick.com/palavrion/

They actually have a great promotion at the moment. Dinner 42 which means that you can order any starter and any main court and a great ice cream for only CHF 42 - not bad http://restaurants.moevenpick.com/pa...=offers&id=168

They also have a bar next door so you can go for a drink afterwards. Enjoy!
