This reminds me of being taken to a restaurant in Paris recently by my host.

It was a bloody Italian restaurant.

here we go off topic already.. I was in southern Colorado years ago ( western U.S. of A ) and our local host asked a group of us if we'd like to go out for Mexican.... sure we all agreed immediately.....

he took us on about a 20mile drive across Colo.Springs and we finally wound up at "chi-chi's" a now defunct chain restaurant

I second MusicChick's recommendation and would suggest that you try the lasagna. It is fabulous!

They have bunch of good stuff, impeccable service and during the week it usually does not get so crowded...

Plus, stop by for coffee laters, if you want, just gimme a min so I can pick up. I won't mention EF or other fura, honest!

thanks.... but we plan on being trashed and maybe throw a couple of bottles of Chianti into the lake
( we found out this morning that a good friend of ours... Eye'tal-ian chap.... passed away last night and we thought we'd give him a little send off OUR style. )

There is of course Croix-Verte in Nyon, italian plus.

And Motel de Leman in Commugny, but you must know that one being a local I guess. Haven't been there in a while, but it used to have more than just pizza.

There is Le Petit Moulin in Signy/Grens. Not the best, but ok for a quick meal.

thanks for the other recommendations RD... and yes pizza leman is just down the road from us but the patron has opened up another place in Versoix and left the running of that to his son... pizzas are still ok depending on who is cooking but generally ... food and service.... it's gone downhill.
