If you want the best Irish pub I've been in, then it has to be
The Reel Inn, in Donegal Town - went with a mate, had a chat with four or five guys who drink there at least five nights a week (one guy for the last sixty years!), and the publican played as part of the live music that night (as did a couple who were just passing through town, but had their Irish pipes and fiddle with them).
Best Irish pub I've been to in Switzerland? That would have to be the Shamrock, in Wollishofen (right at the tram terminus). Great location, great building / layout, great publican (Bart - he remembered me on my second visit, even though I was there with different people), they have a weekly pub quiz and, perhaps more relevant to some, they do a great Irish breakfast. I enjoyed one while (sadly) watching the Wallabies get creamed ... Food prices are reasonable, but the price of a pint bites a bit.
Oh, and they open at 'unusual' hours for sports, if something's in a different time zone.
