check some at bahn of oerlikon , there are two mexican resturants side by side.

Sorry but there are no good authentic restaurants in the area, you might be better trying to cook some at home, most shops do sell the essentials.

For something that tastes good but is not really mexican you could try Tres Amigos in Dübendorf,

The closest to mexican food that I have tried (I'm mexican)
The fajitas comes with salad and rice, they also give you flour tortilla, guacamole and spicy tomatoe salsa.

I have found one in Interlaken called the Azteca, the most authentic in my opinion.

Recommended by mexican embassy in Bern.

One in Montreux ok, but then it all depends on what you want...

Desperado isn't too bad - http://www.desperado.ch/ - just really expensive for what you get, and they add odd things in there (I'm used to Tex-Mex though).

The best thing is to go to El Maiz on Josefstrasse behind Zurich HB and buy your own ingredients. They're a little pricey as well but it won't cost near as much as going to one of the restaurants and being disappointed. You can also order online. http://elmaiz.ch/oscommerce/index.php?cPath=37

Stay away from the Mexican Restaurant in the Niederdorf - unless they've changed drastically over the past few years you'll be very disappointed

Hi, I've been coming to Zurich recently on a weekly basis for work for the last month. I went to the Tex Mex on Badenerstrasse last Monday. I can recommend Tex Mex. The food was good. And the portions large. I was stuffed!

Restaurant Löwen in Opfikon/Glattbrug is quite good - across the intersection from the NH Airport Hotel. I moved here from California and so I miss the Mexican food. This place was just the fix.

There is no real Mexican food in Switzerland.

It is best to make it yourself at home.

Bring Mexican spices with you when you come- the kits here are very mild and neutral, to put it politely...

I was at Mojito's in Schlieren (so Canton Zurich not Stadt Zurich) and I really liked the ambience. You didn't feel like you were in Switzerland. So much so I kept answering the staff in Spanish although they were speaking German! The food was decent as well. Definitely more Tex Mex than Mex.....light on the manteca de puerco!
