I am looking for somewhere to celebrate New Year's Eve in Basel, so a restaurant, hotel with a nice menu or music with a band and a dance. I actually live in France, but having had no luck finding anywhere I am now trying Basel (Basel Land would be best because of distance). Any ideas much appreciated.

The city of Basel usually sets off fireworks over the Rhine on New Year's Eve. So, perhaps, you'd like to dine at the Trois Rois and watch the event?
