Just a worthy recommendation for a place called
Les Halles (page should be pre-translated)
Not only has it great food and a great atmosphere, but you can add GREAT staff to the list.
Last night while I was enjoying dinner there with some friends, the waiter came over and asked (in Broken English, but a good try) for me to move my coat and pointed at the guy behind me.
I didn't know what he meant so I didn't bother.
Later on, the staff came and escorted the guy behind me out of the restaurant and someone came over to ask me to check my coat pockets.
I said there was nothing in my jacket anyway, but then they told me that twice they saw the guy putting his hand in my jacket, so they kicked him out.
At first I was a bit shocked and felt a bit stupid as the place is quite nice, and the guy was well dressed (not that I can stereotype a pick pocket), but it definitely raised an eyebrow.
In conclusion I was impressed that the staff not only look after their clients, but to remove the man from the premises also demonstrates that they want a protected area for decent people to eat.
They won me over with that display last night and I'll be going back again, and I encourage everyone else to try the place out.
(Best ring for a reservation in groups bigger than 4)
Keep your eyes on your pockets people, this shocked me, but the story ended well.
