Canadian pubs?

Hi, I'll be moving to Zurich in the next year. Does anyone know where there are any pubs that Canadians frequent, or where pubs play NHL games?

Thanks!

Hooters would be your best bet pertaining NHL.

Re: Canadian pubs?

Is this the same Hooters concept where girls are serving? I'd rather go somewhere more with a more pub/bar feel if I can, Hooters isn't really my thing haha (as I am a girl).

Re: Canadian pubs?

You'll stuggle to find any place that has TV's and Satellite connection that is open late enough. East coast games Face off at 01.00 through to West games starting at 04.00/04.30. Most pubs close at 12.00 Sun to Thur. Only chance is in one of the Irish/English on a Friday/Saturday where they are open til 3 or 4, but generally after 10pm it's DJ disco party time, and the lights are dimmed and the TV's turned off. Occasionally you could ask the staff to put it on when there is a Sunday afternoon game, they tend to start at 7pm Swiss time or 9pm depending where it's played. Paddy's have a few satellite boxes, and are pretty accomodating when it comes to showing games from other sports if it doesn't clash with the football or rugby.

Re: Canadian pubs?

If a Canadian manager does it for you then it's the Pickwick in Zug. No topless girls serving, full sports events coverage and Swiss prices.

No, the one he is referring to is in Zug.

You will find it hard to get a pub that shows NHL. Its mostly shown on Setanta Ireland (whereas most pubs have a uk sky card) over here and at silly times in the morning.

Your best bet is to get an internet link, or when you get over contact me and i will give you advice on how to get setanta ireland in your apartment
