i heard there is a late night /nearly 24hrs bar in niederdorf ... anyone know the name?

dont remember the name but its near the start of the niederdorf on the left (if you are walking from the train station) and has a kebab shop across from it, a small old pub style

It could be the Dörfli Bar just after Johanniter. Don't know if it's open 24hrs.

The name doesnt spring to mind, if i heard it i would know, although the name i know may not be an official name but a nickname, really not sure. Been in it a few times, sometimes they ask you to leave between 6 and 7 so they can clean, but most of the time they just clean around you

Nope - not that I know of, but in the olden days it used to open up again when everything else closed down at approx 2-5 AM... may well be the one..

I think its Grabli bar your on about a bar with out any natural sunlight.
Close between 4 and 4 every weekday morning

thats it! i remember someone saying it is meant to close at am and reopens at 4.30/ 5am depending on the mood of the staff

Went there last night about 3am , it was calm,few pissed or drugged people around. 1 odd ball arrived (told my friend to turn his magnet off) shortly disapeared then saw him later having a tug whilst standing outside the nearby kebab shop ..... charming.

Th Johanniter is open until quite late. I'm not quite sure when they close but I've hung out there on occasions when I had a very early train to catch and it must have been at least 4-ish.

Gräbli is also open until late but can get a bit, um , interesting in the early hours. But if you're open minded the experience is broadening.
