Trust me, Goodmans' steak is definitely worth the price but you have to buy the US beef, not the Swiss.

Message #3 from Wollis is right on. Rolli's is my favorite. You can also try Kings Crown hotel. There is a steak place on the 1st floor. It is very good. Lastly, you can get a good burger at the Aussie place called Outback (cliche, I know, but they make a damn good burger!) at Stadelhofen station.

Sorry Rache, I can't agree with your Outback statement. I had burgers there before, twice, some years ago, and found them a disgrace. The meat was dry, the buns cold (not slightly toasted) the onions were raw and when I asked for beetroot they just looked at me with an empty stare. Rest my case...gimme a greasy milk bar burger any day.

Too bad! I've had their burgers a few times now and they're always good! Sorry you haven't had good experiences

Goodman's is excellent indeed.. however true as well that it is expensive -- too expensive for me. I was there once and didn't pay fortunately

Would be interested in trying an alternative in Zurich as well...
