What is funny,
after reading on this forum for a month i have gotten the impression that Swiss just a really boring place. BUt maybe i have been misinformed.

You live in NYC

There is no comparison between Zürich with NYC.

Zürich is much smaller, but is a rich city and has many things to do, at high quality standards.

If you search for the nightlife, sports and culture activites you will certainly find many and very good and interesting.

But in no way is like in Manhattan.

People in Switzerland and specially in Zürich could be cold and snobish, but will not be less than in Manhattan anyway.

I think you'll be happy here.

At some point I was yearning to move to Manhattan, but really after the fact I think is much better here.

They call it "the little big city" and it is true. you'll have whatever you could wish on a big city but in a small scale, and that is good too, as you'll get much less traffic, urban dangers, smog etc etc.

at first i was thinking about just staying in zurich temporarily but who knows, maybe i might stay there permanently,
