[seeking] Party venue in Zug/Baar

Hello I am trying to find a room to rent to have a 30th birthday party in. It needs to be big enough for about 70 /80 people and have no need to end at midnight. Does anyone know of such place? thanks

Try some of the restaurants and bars - they often close for private parties. J & J had the Hof last Friday night for instance....

I have been to (much smaller) events at the Landhaus restaurant in Baar, near the recycle center. The service is good and there's lots of free parking. It's also only about 200 meters from a bus stop, St. Martin if I'm not mistaken, and also only a 5 minute walk to the Baar train station.

Can it be Rotkreuz? I organized a party for a client at heuboden and everyone had a fantastic time till 3 am.... www.heuboden.ch + rent is really reasonable.

The powder tower hires itself out. Pricey but classy (if that's the sort of party you're after)

Re: [seeking] Party venue in Zug/Baar

Hi,

Our Zug-based clubs have used all three of the mentioned venues - the Heuboden for picnics (not sure about the past-midnight issue), the Landhaus for dinner events (we're having another one there on the 26th of January) and the Pulverturm - I'm not sure on the curfew issues there either. The Pulverturm is good for a group that size, has an upstairs section for seating, downstairs for mingling/drinks and a small kitchen-like area. Not sure about the price (but could find out). It might be a bit cramped for 80.

...or is this all too late for the birthday anyway?

Why not do it the Swiss way. Invite people to a resturant and tell everyone they have to pay for themselves.

Villette will go past 12pm. our office had 2 Christmas parties there that went on until the wee hours. They set up a bar downstairs for us last year with cocktails and spirits, paying by the bottle.

Try the Baarer Brauerei( Baar Brewery ). They have a large room that
they use for catering parties on Saturday nights. The beer is also
very good.

Cheers,
Grant

Re: [seeking] Party venue in Zug/Baar

Or if you plan on a simpler Party, there are usually Chalets (or similar) in the woods used by different clubs and associations (maybe the ones that have been mentioned) usually run by the Gemeinde. This would certainly allow for the open-night occasion, just make sure everybody brings their sleeping bag (to avoid DUI's) and make sure you got enough stuff (unless you hire somebody for the foods/drinks)

Those were always fun nights... good luck anyway
