Cheap drinks, or even dive bars in Zurich?

Are there any local joints in Zurich, where you can enjoy inexpensive drinks? Any area less visited by tourists? Fact that Zh is very expensive is obvious and no need to be reminded. Actually, I meant to ask this question guys and dolls, who spent some time in Zh and know it well, not only advertized places i can Google myself, but also local ones. Thanks to all,,,

Cheap drinx are hard to come by in Zuri, I think that Zähringer just off the Niederdorfli is fairly priced... it's a kinda lefty student hangout. I recall going some place else where the drinks were cheap, I'll post it once I recall the name.

What's your idea of inexpensive..? Tap water is very reasonable these days..
Any place not located on Bahnhofstrasse, Niederdorf or any where in the Old Town area would be less frequented by tourists, besides, Zurich isn't really a tourist city to begin with so it's not all that much of an issue anyway.

As for cheap drinks (as in getting wasted for little money) I would recommend 2. or 4. Akt - near Hardbrücke and Escher-Wyss. Just make sure to get there early, as it will be packed later on for sure!

Otherwise.... you'll probably 'have' to go on a Pub/Bar crawl to find out more...

Good luck hunting...

Kontiki on Niederdorf is also good if you have 80% tattoo-coverage and "lots of shit in yer face", as John Travolta said to Rosanna Arquette...

I don't have coverage, but have some manners to walk in where my heart desire, it's been like this long-long time

As afore mentioned, the Kontiki and the Zähringer are both cheap and not as chic as other places you could visit in the Bahnhofstrasse. Plus, they are reletively close, in the same section of town call the Niederdorf (or old town) where you can also retreat to the English pub, (who's name my good friend M is finding on the putor.... Pickwicks or Oliver Twist..... summat like that) should you need to resort to your mother-tongue. And you can see the big clock from around there.
