| | | Chinese restaurants in Zurich
I am in a constant hunt of good Chinese (and Asian) food.
I've been to Beyond in Zollstrasse. The taste is authentic and not too expensive.
Buche at Bucheggstrasse is, according to some info I found on the web, famous for its Beijing dumplings. They were ok, but not great.
My friends brought me to Suan Long at Bahnhof Enge for Dim Sum. It was nice and the waitress very friendly.
Does anyone know other Chinese restaurants in Zurich?

I can recommend Nooch in Kreis 5 for a good bowl of noodles www.nooch.ch
Otherwise, Beyond is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Zürich.
Though, I recently tried Suan Long in Enge, and was rather surprised at how good the food was. There appears to be two sides to the restaurant, with (apparently) two different kitchens. If you enter from the main entrance, the left side has the more expensive menu, whilst the right side has a more casual menu. We tried out the left side, and found that the prices were similar to Beyond. Different food to Beyond, but we would definitely go there again. I didn't know that they had dim sum there, so that is a good excuse to go back!

We always go to Restaurant Peking in Wiedikon (Bahnhof Wiedikon). Food is good, service is great, the place is small and cosy, very quiet. www.pekingzh.ch |

Hot Pot on Birmensdorferstrasse near Goldbrunnenplatz has been recommended to me.

A good place is the Dragon Inn China Restaurant, at Albistrasse 19 near Post Wollishofen tram stop. We talk about it here.
Also there's the Entehuus near Bhf Enge, if you want a Peking duck fix.
For generic asian food there's always Chopsticks on the Niederdorf. They do Nasi Lemak |

the food's actually OK but it used to be a dodgy local alco-bar-type-place before it became Hot Pot.
Does good trade at lunchtime from Alcatel - which is probably a reason for it still being there |

China Garden near Bahnhofstrasse was replaced by Denners Wine Bar. Much as I love a good wine bar (or even a bad one like this), I do miss the odd service and the sizzling Mongol (dish).

This one was recommended to me:
Take Away Hot Pot
Birmensdorferstrasse 222
8003 Zürich 044 450 30 31
There are too many Hot Pots / Woks !
Gooner, which one were you referring to?

For mixed Asian (Thai, Malaysian, etc) noodle and rice dishes there's also Globus, Jelmoli, Mishio and Tiffins.

Don't forget, the Dim Sum chef is on left on Monday.

Have you guys tried Lotus Garden in Waffenpltz? not far from Bhf Enge, not far from where i live.
The thing is: every time I dine there, then i come back and manage to figure out the menu and cook it myself.

'Chopsticks' at the Bahnhof end of the Niederdorfstrasse, nearest Tram stop is Central. It's just a little place but my wife lived in Hong Kong for years and she loves the food here. In fact we were there last night enjoying Steamed Chicken and Salted Fish Fried Rice with Chicken ( ham yu gai lop chow fan) |

Yep can agree that Chopsticks is good. I also like Beyond which is right by Zurich HB.
All this talk of food is making me hungry | |
