Hi

I have some friends visiting this weekend along with their 4 year old kid, can anyone recommend some good child friendly restaurants for early evening?

I don't know how it works here, are children welcome in most restaurants? I know in the UK its not so the case and people with kids tend to go to horrible kid friendly places with horrible kids menu's but I've not seen those such places here?

Any advice would be appreciated

mövenpick? they have some giveaways for toddlers, i use to go there as my sons were younger. the menu is not that bad and smokers are banned. i would say mövenpick would do the job. in more ambitious restaurants guests are less happy about kids.

I went to SantaLucia and it was ok with a 4-5 year old very well behaved girl. Depends on the kid I think. Keep the kid on a tight leash and things will be fine :-)

santa lucia is also a family friendly restaurant, i've been there a couple of times with my kids. it's not so good though.

Has anyone else been to Vapiano in Sihl City? I love the concept of that restaurant. It's great for kids. You get your own food and bring it back to your table on a tray, so there's no waiting for service. It's casual and comfortable with big chairs or stools and benches. There're also long tables and high chairs to fit with the higher tables or lower ones. The windows are down to the floor so the kids can watch what's going on in the courtyard and not get bored. Plus the food is really good and not expensive.

We hardly ever go out with our four kids because they can hardly sit still, but this is the perfect place- I was so excited to find out about it!!
