| | | Grill houses, American, Australian Kitchen in Zurich
I am going to be new in town, last time I've been in Zurich I did not find any of the above (not that I was desperately searching for it, I came as a tourist and did not care too much, now when I'll have to live in Zurich for a while, the situation is different). So, does anybody know of nice grill houses or American\Australian restaurants\pubs\bars (whatever) which serve grilled steaks, hamburges, home fries etc... and of course Beer

There should be an American Stars, and Stripes, or a Tex Mex in Zurich. I will try and find my leaflet later, and post the website link here. | | This user would like to thank Sutter for this useful post:

There's an Aussie bar in Zürich - Stadelhoferstrasse 18
8001 Zürich and I have heard they have get togethers for Expats regulary there.... Here's the website... I have not eaten there but they have menu you can check out on the webpage.... Was a bit disappointed that there's not much seafood, but that's what happens when you live in Switzerland..... http://www.outback-lodge.ch/ | | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

Expats.... like people from other countries who now live in Switzerland... probably mostly Aussies at the Aussie bar. But we are a cool bunch!!! |

| | | | Re: Grill houses, American, Australian Kitchen in Zurich Monthly pub/social night: Second Tuesday of every month from 6.30 pm at the Outback Lodge - Australian Bar & Food House, Stadelhoferstrasse 18, 8001 Zürich, beside Bahnhof Stadelhofen. Come for a chin-wag, snack or a coldie. The regulars usually sit outside near the side entrance to the bar area, so as to avoid the smoke inside.
Here you go!!!! | | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

For TexMex - Bohemia, and Cheyenne and Iroqois are related but the first is near Kreuzplatz, the second is in Zurich Oerlikon and third is on Seefeldstrasse. Papa Joes is also worth going to for burgers etc in Zurich's Niederdorf.
Also want to mention the cool place that used to be the Baeck & Brau behind Escher-Wyss Platz's Abaton cinema. But I can't remember what it's called. Anyone?

Just to balance the argument, I found this place compltely cr@p. The fake decor and menu, and not one english accent left me a bit cold. To b fair, I've only ever been there when I've been wating at the train station in the rain.

To each their own | | | | | They do, however, have Coopers Beer, which makes up for a lot...
(Have to admit as an Aussie it's got a high factor though.)
