Hi,
If you like Indian food, definitely Kings Curry http://www.kingskurry.ch/ (29 CHF or so a head). They have a great all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. If you like vegetarian food, try Bon Dea at the Hauptbanhof (29 CHF for 2 visits) . Otherwise, I hear Au Premier - also in the main station - is quite good, but pricey.
Cheers,
e

Yes the buffet at Hiltl is excellent but it is defo not all you can eat for a fixed price. If you fill up one plate it can easily cost you over CHF 40, and that does not include drinks or dessert.
Nooch has all you can eat Sushi on mondays for CHF 55 and all you can eat Asian type food on Wednesdays for around CHF 40. nooch |

The Kerala curry house toward Oerlikon had a good one: prawn, beef and chicken curry featured. Sunday I think... In fact it was better than the menu

Its easy to spend a fortune in Hiltl as its a voyage of discovery. All sorts of strange stuff.
My buffet selection rarely works out well, as I gravitate toward the spicy stuff and leave the chick-peas to the skinny chicks. After such a chilli-based experience I am forced to drink several glasses of the Navarro wine to cool down a bit...

Thx | | | | | There's an excellent Mongolian Barbecue in Mägenwil. It's an easy drive from Zürich and you can also get there by S-Bahn. Not sure of the exct price as I haven't been for some years but the middy price is much cheaper then the evening. Food and ambiance are excellence.
There is also one on one of the side streets off langstrasse in Zurich but haven't done that one myself yet.

They charge by weight...you need to go to the little stand at the end of the buffet and get a receipt...and then pay. Chem is right...not cheap. But it is good!

fduvall | | | | | not quite true. They charge by weight up to a certain level, and after that they don't charge any extra. That way peopel with small appetites don't pay too much and people with big appetites don't have to worry about the price. A fair offer in my opinion.

We had to announce in advance if we want to eat à discretion or not.

The last time I hosted a group of four of us there, we sat upstairs in the tablecloth bit, and the waiter brought us the bill which was capped, even though our chitties stated more. Nice.

I think lunch is 50chf (all inclusive, except drinks)
dinner is about 80-100chf (all inclusive, except drinks, there is also DIY BBQ meats)
Really eat till you drop.
Alternatively you can come over to HAT Restaurant near Baar, only 888chf per person, chinese food and drinks and wine and beer all included. Eat all you can.
Book 1 month in advance, minimal 4 persons. |

I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the place (perhaps a local can help out) but when I visited Zurich last year, a colleague from Zurich recommended a veggie restaurant that had an excellent buffet - in fact I think that's all they do, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. I went with my very much meat eating husband who also really enjoyed the food and it wasn't too expensive either. If it helps I seem to recall that it had a spiral staircase in the middle.

HAT | | | | | Sorry if it wasn't helpful, but I was lead to believe by my colleague that it was one of the few veggie restaurants, so thought someone might recall it. |

It really is GOOD, even for meat eaters |

Otherwise, any of the big hotels do all-you-can-eat Sunday brunches. The Hilton has a fish buffet on Fridays. (no idea of prices)
