Just moved in to Switzerland and Vevey. So far only had the chance to explore the main square and did not see much going on in terms of night life. Figured it was more a family town. Glad to heard there is more going on.

Like I said, it depends what you're looking for

Personally, I like a lot of people in a place with a good atmosphere, good choice of beers at reasonable prices and I'm a massive fan of live music so I go to places that cater for me.

I'm not really into the club scene so don't go to Lausanne that often (unless it's to see a band or for something specific).

There is always something going on in Vevey and the surrounding areas but you have to look.



P.S. August 29th there is a live act on at the English pub "Jazz Café" in Montreux if anyone's interested?

I noticed a place called "Baobab" casino & nightclub, but not sure whether anything is happening there. Do you know if it is good. Just am interested to know because it is walking distance from our apartments.

Thanks for your advice about the Baobab, but not sure why? i was a distance from the place only saw the name so never got close enough to see the posters of the girls, as Dragonfly mentioned. You probably advise me not to go there because it is quite "Dodgy" so i, we, will stay away.

There is a concert on on Friday the 19th of September at 21h at Espace Guinguette (just behind the train station).

It is actually a "vernissage" but is an open event.

There is a bar behind the coop near the train station.. V i think its called. Its great there and packed on a weekend. Its great to meet people and you can dance too!
