La Lagune in Cheyres (15 minutes from Yverdon, VD):

Forget Switzerland for an evening in this very Carribean atmosphere on the shore of Lac de Neuchâtel: beautiful restaurant, huge terrace, playground for children, dogs welcome.
Every Friday and Saturday evening:
- All you can eat buffet, just amazing: barbecue, a la plancha, mediterranean buffet (warm and cold), sea food, paëlla, sushi etc,
- Live music by 2 Cuban musicians

CHF 42.- per person (drinks not included), but book well in advance!

This really sounds like an ad ... anyways been there (that's a small restaurant chain with several others in Switzerland) and while the concept sounds nice, the food was only average.

I am not the owner and I don't work there. I was invited there last Saturday and just loved it. Yes, it is a chain of 3-4 restaurants, but as the other ones are more than average, this one is exceptionnal and I enjoyed every moment and the quality of the food was juste great.
