French Retaurant Baden

Perhaps I am being partial to this place because I have been working there, but there is a very nice, all in service (Chef owner speaks French, English, and German fleuntly), cuisine, and view french restaurant in the old part of Baden. Located on Unterhalde 21, there is a terrace with a fountain and downward spiraling cobblestone village road with views of the church and bridge. It is not that big. About 25 covers inside. But it is a combination of old and new, and good food. And too the contrary of the cliche perception of the french, the owner Didier is very easy to talk with and ask of an eloquent and fun meal. About 10 to 15 minutes walk from the Baden train station. Parking is within 100 meters. Menu is often Lamb, Steak, fresh fish, and Mussels and frites. He formerly had a restaurant in Ghana, before moving here. With a daily changing specials menu. It really isn't like any other place. Atleast in Baden. Catch him while he is small before he goes to Zurich. www.rebstockbaden.ch

Re: French Retaurant Baden

We tried the Rebstock restaurant last night, and had a delicious dinner, probably the best we've had in Baden so far. The owner is very friendly and easygoing, and is aware of food intolerances/allergies, so he made sure my meal was gluten-free. We ate outside on the terrace to enjoy the surroundings and the view of the old town. The indoor area looks nice and cozy and will be great when it gets colder.

We will definitely be going back and recommending it to others - thanks for the tip!
