Was an incredible show! I think I'm ready to move to Mexico. Their music is amazing and has the heart and soul of Mexico. (Ok, they are from Arizona, but still, it's Tucson, close enough.)

I don't think I have ever been to a show in Switzerland where the crowd was this enthusiastic and so in to the performance.

I agree! Absolutely fantastic...the sound was great, the band was superb, the crowd was energized...

We made it there about half way through the show, but well worth the trip. They really rocked it. Loved the Manu Chao bits in the encore. Been following these guys for years (since FODM) and am impressed by the size of the turnout.

This was my first show in the year + I've lived here, and will definitely be back to Volkshaus. Great venue. The sound was absolutely superb.

thanks for the info...not really having a hard time finding shows, so much as its difficult to break away from the family. this show has reinvigorated my interest, and will probably get out a bit more.

what are your thoughts on "Carried to Dust"? Might grab it from Amazon tonight. i picked up the "tour only" cd on Fri, its decent. gotta say one of my fav calexico albums it "Travelall" which was a tour only cd a few years back.

I've only had a chance to listen to "Carried To Dust" a few times, but I think it's fantastic, possibly their strongest. I don't know if you've had a chance to download it, but I think I recommended the free podcast from KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic through either iTunes or from the KCRW site. They play quite a few of their new songs which should provide a good preview of the disc. At any rate, the disc is highly recommended.

We never made it over to the sales stand at the show so I didn't realize there was a tour disc available. I'm totally bummed now!
