Starticket and Ticketcorner only list what they sell tickets for, a lot falls through the cracks. BTW the Starticket print at home tickets are brilliant, saves so much time or handling charges.

Another website with concert listings is Swiss Pop Radio

They currently have 1231 Concerts and 34 Festivals listed. Many of these include map and web links. It also has a search feature.

Just been looking at another ticket site for Germany. Ticket prices seem to be pretty good.

Hi just joined the forum and have had a look at the sites listed below but they do not appear to go far enough ahead into the year. We ae getting married in September 2012 and are going to Lucerne and Lausanne forr our honeymoon. We would like to get tickets for a gig whist there. Please is there a site which has listings into September so we can pay for tickets and know we will definitely be going. Many thanks

I use Songkick.com and have found it almost perfect. It allows you to specify a bunch of cities and any number of bands you're interested in. Another thing you could do since you know exactly where you'll be is keep an eye on the websites of specific venues in Lausanne and Luzern. I've only been to Le Romandie in Lausanne and the Treibhaus and KKL in Luzern, and to be honest there's not that much going on in those two towns, but it depends what you're in to, of course.

For instance we went to see skindred on new years eve in our home town - easy to walk to but not sure how they would be - they were amazing and we rocked the night away - get this I am 52 (this is my !st wedding) and my partner is 47 but we listen to our music every night and see as many bands as the finances allow. We once went to Amsterdam to see Killers - it was cancelled coz of a bomb scare and we had stayed for a week! went back for a night to see them when reorganised a month or so later !! Hey arent the never ending ribs in Amsterdam fantastic. You can watch the football, drink lots and eat ribs all day and night for one price !!!

At local level, there is so much excellent stuff going on. Theater, concerts, plays, outings, etc. I'm afraid the only way to know about them it to regularly read the local Press.

How about for classical music concerts (aside from Tonhalle Zurich and Opernhaus)?

Is there a website that lists upcoming concerts in, for example, churches in Zurich? I once saw a beautiful rendition of Bach's St. Mathews Passion in a local church in Kreis 6. Tickets were cheap and it was an extraordinary performance. That is the type of concert I am looking for.
