I have just moved to a little tiny town called St Genis near Geneva from Brixton, London. Does anyone know where I can go for some decent live music? Thankyou eversomuch!

I'm also in Saint Genis and am interested in live music. I know at least one person at work who is fairly savvy with gigs happening locally. There is a good one tonight featuring Sophi Zelmani at Usine (though you probably won't check the forum in time :-) )

Hello. You work at CERN, don't you ? Mee too. I lived in St. Genis a month ago, now I'm at the cern hostel. I'm very interested in live music too. I was at Bob Dylan on 25 and will go to Deep Purple too... St. Genis seems pretty small to host concerts, don't you think? Anyway, if you find out anything about live events around cern, please let me know(perhaps posting here would be a good idea).

A part from Charlie's pub on the village square that occasionally offers live music, you have to watch for the events calendar (see at the Mairie) of what is going on in the Salle Jean Monnet, Salle de l'Allondon and the new theatre which will be inaugurated soon. If you're willing to leave St Genis, there's a small bar in Peron that organizes concerts. It's called Blue Moon Café http://www.bluemooncafe.fr

Otherwise, there will be some concerts on 21 June for the Fête de la Musique and of course there are the various concerts organized by the CERN rock and jazz clubs.

It's not exactly a wild musical scene, but still, there are some things happening if you look out for them.

Hey St Genis people, quick question for you.

How much is it now for a pint of guinness? It used to be 38FF when I lived there in 1993, which was bloody extortionate at the time...

And on the subject of music, do "Les Horribles Cernettes" still exist?!
