Does anyone know how to go about finding someone to give us lessons for our first dance. I have absolutely no idea. Preferably in the Zurich area. Otherwise it's YouTube...

Absolutely try Kaiser Tanz in Zurich. My husband and I took private classes there and we pulled off our wedding waltz. My husband never took formal dance classes and was brilliant after just a few classes. Ask for Monica..

For my wedding, I specified the following conditions - no tie, no dance and no church. Luckily my spouse agreed.

We love dancing, but we have no formal training. Otherwise we are both pretty good (modesty!) & up for it. It'll be fun. Otherwise we'll just go for it free style. We're not having a church wedding, but we plan to have the greatest party for all our friends. It will be the most relaxed, fun wedding! We've got a great location and a great band. Roll on!

And you need lessons why?!

Forego the lessons, enjoy some beer with the money, and dance the way you are at YOUR wedding.

Had our one and only lesson last night at 10pm - wedding this Saturday (!). Went really, really well. Monica is a superstar. Thanks for the tip!

I agree 100%.

Marianne Kaiser is a very nice lady and her English is very good. Her dancing experience goes back a long long way and she can teach you different styles from formal to informal.
