| | | Stag Do Zurich
Hi,
Hoping someone can help me; my friend has organised his stag do for the weekend of 19th & 20th September in Zurich and I'm struggling to find suitable places to take him. We're looking at some sort of acitivity during the day and then food and drinks in the evening unfortunately there are 12 men ranging from 25-30 is anyone able to make some recommendations?
Many thanks in advance
Regards,
James

Paintballing, oh so much fun, suitably testosterone fuelled activity for such a day.

| | | Re: Stag Do Zurich | Quote: | | | | | Sure. Here are hundreds of ideas. | | | | | Hi 22 Yards I loved your LETMEGOOGLETHATFORYOU link (superfreakingcoolman) , but did you take the time to see the actual results? HUNDREDS of answers which had nothing to do with a STAG NIGHT in Zürich and the only one that did led you right back to the EF forum. Thank you BOXMAN for adding the EF link. I LMGTFY'ed it too but in GERMAN and it came up with many more answers. Most people here usually go out somewhere nice for dinner with their friends then make their way out to a nightclub/party venue somewhere, but on the way to the club (and even in the club) the person getting married is usually made to do tricks or sell things for money I recently went to a hen night where the bride to be had to sell roses and on the same night but in a different town the groom to be had to sell small bottles of alcohol such as “Kleiner Feigling” needless to say he sold out A LOT faster than the woman did. The money they make should go towards the drinks for everyone for the night (at least in our case it did!). I recommend a good hearty dinner (to help absorb all of the alcohol) and then perhaps a bar crawl in the Niederdorf? There is the Stüssihof movie theatre and there are some “nightclubs” too. The Zueritipp will let you know which parties/concerts are going on that night just put in the date of your choice. If you can’t find any restaurant tips on the EF forum the Zueritipp webpage has numerous suggestions. | | This user would like to thank zwissmiss for this useful post: | |

If any of them will be wearing kilts, bring them along to here for an hour or so on the Saturday afternoon. We need some kilt wearers to do some testing on

Thanks for your suggestions so far
We are trying to find somewhere fairly central to go paintballing so if anyone has any recommendations that would be hugely appreciated.
Also the idea of following the Swiss stag tradition sounds like fun and might endear to the locals alittle! any suggestions for things the stag can do would be great!
Cheers
James

OK, this may not be quite as annoying as someone wanting to know what time the first No. 14 tram leaves on a Friday, but I do think the OP could have found the info he's looking for with a few clicks online. I do not trash newbies (I was one myself a couple of months ago) and I don't approve of the tendency towards rudeness on the forum that we've all seen recently, but I also like people to help themselves before asking for help.
I take your point about personal recommendations.

James | | | | | I don't know about Paintballing, but how about taking a boat down the lake to one of the Micro-breweries during the day? Rappi Bier factory, Spiffing Ales and the Waedenswill breweries are all close to the lake. If you're interested I'll dig out the home pages, but I'm sure you'll also find them by searching on the forum

Are all you posters who are down on paintballing ever tried it? Im not a big fan of guns, and I have only done it once but its a real hoot. Gets the adrenelin running, and then after that you go out for your dinner or boat cruise . Its like a starter for the day, by no means the main course. Cheers

Go to Basel. | | | | | At least the hen wouldn't have to worry about the stag -- he's be tucked up in his (own) bed by 10:00 pm. Nah, go to Zurich.
