zurich for the day - ethnic lunchtime restaurant tips, pls!

Hello Zurich EFs, I'm coming up your way next week to see the Seurat exhibition and would love to find a nice little place somewhere in the centre of Z (I don't know it that well to venture into the wilderness...) that does good Indian food. Failing that, any nice little place full of locals would do, too.
Thanks!!
L

Seurat at the Kunsthaus ?

from there you catch the number 8 tram down the hill and across the river, around to Paradeplatz and on to

http://www.tandoori-bbq.ch/

Tram stop 'Stockerstrasse'.

We had a really big EF event there a few months back. It was lovely. Not cheap, but really wonderful indian, and make sure you ask for extra hot if you are looking for the 'real' flavour...

Have a look in the old part of Zurich, f.i. arround the central bibliothek, the ARTIGE BAR
at Spitalgasse 10 in Zürich is showing exhibitions of OutsiderArt, you can have a drink, a bite to eat or yust sit there in this little nice, charming cafe.....Walk arround there in the Niederdorf, Christmas markets, nice little shops etc. good luck and a very nice Zurich day, you will like it, greetings from Athos

If you can handle Sri Lankan, there places on Josefstrasse.

There are all day places at 137, 140.

And the grocery store at corner of Josef and Langstr does an amazing lunch. All cheap.

you if you go down to bellvue and walk in the direction of Stadehofen/Seefeld. There will be a tram stop called opern haus and a MIGROS take away for a couple of mins and you will see a very small lane and take away/tiny restaurent called Chetty's curry and the food is quite decent.

It must take about 10 mins from kunstaus.

Thanks for all the tips. I'll be back in Zurich on New Year's Eve so if any of the places you have suggested is open, I'll definitely give them a try.
Merry Xmas everyone!
