Have you ever been to this place? | | | | | Er, yeah. It's fine. I dunno what the fuss about Eggs Benedict is, it seems there have been a lot of requests for them recently. I find them kinda bland. Give me smoked fish and a whiskey.

Nothing to do with Zurich... but I remember some 10+ years ago, when my parents would take me and my little sister for a sunday Brunch at the Movenpick hotel near Geneva airport.
Anyone know if they still do a huge brunch session there?
Uncle Max: whiskey for brunch? oooh, I like you all ready haha

For anyone who does not feel like getting out of bed in Wintertime, the following could be useful http://brunchathome.ch/
Seems to have started up in 2009. Last weekend I tried the delux brunch for 2 people. It was good quality and more than enough for two people. The only drawback is that you have to make your own coffee/cappucino. Its also restricted to greater Zurich area on Sat and Sunday. (free choice of delivery time though, and they were pretty punctual)

How good can it be? | | | | | As the Fosters they serve at Outback is slightly above Swiss average it possibly is not too bad. I on a few visits to "Cheyenne" thought that they simply are a bit too expensive. The nearby Restaurant Sternen which serves quite good Italian and Swiss cuisine only costs half as much, to give a comparison. Sure, the Cheyenne is trendy while the Sternen is old-fashioned. Just two roads from the Cheyenne towards the rail station, there is a nice small Turkish place which is not noble, but comfortable and offers excellent meals.

Hello,
Some weeks ago was in Rüsterei in Sihlcity for brunch. I quite liked it. Ambience is nice and food selection was sufficient. It was 49CHF per head. Seems still OK to me considering prices in Switzerland and what was offered.

Hi all,
does anyone know if there is brunch in zurich similar to Felix or Bagatelle in NYC?
Like a place were they serve cocktails, and where it's packed and with good dj's?
Many thanks

Forum in Kreis 4 is also good, not all you can eat but good value for money and much better now that smoking is banned. |

Went to Bubbles a couple of weeks ago, definitely a good Sunday brunch but haven't tried the others to be able to compare. Only down side is that it was a bit smokey but am gradually getting used to it! | | | | | I've tried this during the week days and there is no warm brunch, during the weekend, i do like this place. It is pretty laid back and well priced.

The Zürichberg Hotel Hotel does a good brunch. Not exactly cheap, I think it was ca. CHF55 for all you can eat, with lots of choice. It's pretty popular, so I suspect you need to book. It's great in the Summer when you can sit out on the terrace looking down on the lake. If you don't overdo things you can combine it with a visit to the Zoo or a walk in the woods.

Best priced hot brunch..meaning, eggs. omelets, bacon, potatoes. etc. with Bloody Mary's?!! Where, do tell. I miss my Cali breakfasts. Mimosas will do too. Looking for something that doesn't cost a fortune. I can do without the breads, muesli, cereals, yogurts. I make these brunches at home, but miss going out? Zuri, Bern, Luzern, Basel, etc...German speaking part. Any recommendations.

Bubbles is a fantastic, typical full english style breakfast, definitely worth a try if that's what you're looking for. Another great place for brunch is the Ruesterei in Sihl City. They offer brunch for 49chf which includes a glass of Prosecco, and they have pretty much anything you'd want in a brunch. Very nice, indeed!

Many thanks | | | | | ahhhh, chaton. if ONLY!!! i would absolutely die to have a brunch like that which you can find in bagatelle!! you will NEVER find anything like that here. to be honest, even if someone started something even remotely like it, i'm not sure it would really catch on. however, if it did, it would most certainly be filled with only expats...which is not a bad thing.

Not as good as even a typical greasy spoon in the UK and much more expensive (ok, I know it's Zürich, so that's par for the course).
At the other end of the spectrum, I'm going to try the Dolder brunch soon which though spendy is meant to be very good.

Dolder is good and on a completely different quality scale to Bubbles.
Restaurant Sorell in Hotel Zuriberg is also worth a try (even has roasts) - esp when the view is good.
