The Platzhirsch Bar at the Hirschenplatz in Niederdorf is a popular place for gays. I don't think they officially call themselves a gay bar, but when I've been there, there are always lots of gays. I think that comes from the bar which was there before, the Lobby Bar and that was definitely a gay bar. Plus: It has a nice outside area overlooking Hirschenplatz. And a Fumoir It's also a Hotel:

we haven't made a gettogether happen yet, but we really should. Anyone got any special wishes? We could also just do a backyard BBQ-o'-gayness (with cocktails), or one by the river or lake or whatever (more likely with beer).

That would be awesome. As a non-drinker I would be sure to patronize a non-bar-related meet-up.

There's xenix on Langstrasse which has a great open space for petanque/bocce and people watching, last time I was there a group of latinos randomly burst into song and continued singing intermittently for a good 2 hours.

Meeting up >> activity, so I'm up for just about anything.

sounds like a good reason to take a train to Zurich. Logistically I would prefer a weekend; Sunday especially since I am absolutely bored to tears on Sundays... TEARS I tell you.

If I might make a suggestion: this thread can go backwards and forwards forever and no gay people will ever actually get met. Somebody should click on Events up top and start an Event in the Calendar. Where ever, whenever. If you build it they will come (and if they don't listen to feedback and reschedule). Good luck!
