Eastenders Live! (25th Anniversary episode)

Who killed Archie?

Friday 19th February, 2010. 20:00 GMT (21:00)

Views on the 25th Anniversary episode which is LIVE for the first time.

I've been following Eastenders on & off for it's duration, happy I get it on my Bluewin TV box so I can see it when I want although since the Swiss wife got into it 4 years ago she never misses an episode...

Personally I think it was at its best 10 years ago & with too many script writers sadly for me it has become fragmented & frankly laughable, it isn't what it used to be these days IMO.....so, lets see how good those actors are LIVE then.

Re: Eastenders Live! (25th Anniversary episode)

Errrr whyy do I watch this show

Sigh. That ending was surprising I guess.. didn't get a shocked gasp out of me though.. more of a "so whyy did we have to listen to Ronnie in her emotionless "damaged" voice and Roxie being a stubborn daft idiot for half the episode then" if that was the ending.

Anyone like it?

Umm Bradley fell off a roof trying to escape police and died and Stacey confessed to Max that she did it and then it ended

I preferred the finding-out-who-was-Heathers-baby-daddy surprise

Re: Eastenders Live! (25th Anniversary episode)

Bit weird actually I would rather play Cluedo. Jack had a bit of a stutter early on but thought most coped with a live performance. Am I sad or what? I never watched these programs in the UK but since being de-stressed here in Switzerland I watch the X Factor and stuff and just chill and enjoy them for what they are.

Re: Eastenders Live! (25th Anniversary episode)

I'd quit watching Eastenders when the Mitchell sisters began to dominate the storylines but had to watch tonight's live episode. Only to try to spot mistakes!

Now I feel cheap & ashamed

Yes same here, a mate used to watch it on Prime (a week old) & I just started too then back in the days when the stories made sense & no-one disappeared off the face of the Earth.

Saw Jack's stutter too & Stacey accidently cover her mic...big fuss about nothing, Archie as a character for me didn't deserve the publicity.

And so you should . That said some of the threads here in the last days could be said to be verging on EE stupidity, and could result in:

(I know this joke is a repeat, but isn't most of EastEnders too)

I have thought the same several times in the last few days - in a funny way though - recent threads have made me chuckle to myself

Stacey said she did but they'll have us up for a story now that she lied probably & make a sequel 'it wasn't Stacey' such is the ineptitude of these cheap producers agreeing to appalling scripts from the 6 or more writers for Eastenders these days.

Re: Eastenders Live! (25th Anniversary episode)

Mmm.. yeah well I watched the after the show special interview with all the cast members thing.. and somebody said something about how it worked out that Stacey wouldnt actually get punished for it or something.
I assumed they would just blame it on poor Bradley and let it die with him, but who knows.

But I don't have cable tv anymore, so if anything crazy happens someone should feel free to let me know
