Ferney Voltaire restaurants for lunch

ok, simple as that ( i hope ) .. who can recommend a restaurant in Ferney Voltaire or immediate surrounding area for lunch on a saturday ( this coming saturday end of feb )

our first choice "hotel du France" is no longer doing lunches
le Pirate... our last couple of experiences there have not been good.
Rajastan... not sure, it may be a back up but just don't feel like indian food for lunch

what have I missed?.. thanks !!

Does it have to be Voltaire? We had food from nearby Divonne, great Indian restaurant.

Re: Ferney Voltaire restaurants for lunch

if you mean the indian right by the town center ( there is another just by the smaller champion market ) ... yes I've dined there a few times but as I said I was just looking for something else, something diff perhaps.. but from what you've said it may be an only choice.

MusicChick thanks... thats our ( mrs. and I ) usual restaurant and personally I think it's the best in the whole area but we're meeting a friend who is staying in F-V and she is really time limited saturday so we were hoping to discover some fabulous amazing place opened up in middle of town.

fat chance eh?

I usually only go to F-V to get frozen food from Piccard, but here's a restaurant recommendation from an EF thread about favorite restaurants that I bookmarked last year:

Neighbouring France

Le Chanteclair in Ferney-Voltaire serves incredibly cheap gourmet fare

Rajpoute in Ornex (Pays-de-Gex) is a good place for (usually quite disappointing) Indian food in the Geneva area

Check the Stars Hotel just near the customs border and of course the airport perimeter. Its bar sports excellent wines and a really good Calvados, and I think they also offer nice meals. The service over the years always was nice.

Or in Meyrin, the very nice and charming Aéro Bistro, overlooking the Airport

Aéro Bistro, Route H.-C.-Forestier, 1217 Meyrin022 788 01 33‎

and an info WEBsite:
