Not been there for a while, but avoid the restaurant opposite the Maison Blanche, it really is not good (forget the name, sorry). There's a good pizzeria in one of the narrow streets near the Alpentherm, but again, forgot the name.

Great place Leukebad, stayed there for a couple of days, had a few meals in town, nothing special, what did grab me was a tiny little hut reasturant that you can only get to by hiking one of the trails, forget the name but it is above the town, had the best soup there and the desserts were to die for. Exactly whats needed after a long hike.

OK, the restaurant to avoid is the Sternen (hotel isn't the Maison Blanche at all, but the big 1 next to the Alpentherm). Pizzeria "might" be the Choucas.

avoid the steak house at all costs - was possibly the worst meal I've had in switzerland, for service, atmosphere and food. THe other night we ate in at our hotel and had tasty rostis.

Sorry Grynch - been away (to UK). For us French speakers btw Leukerbad is Loèche les Bains
There is a lovely restaurant on the little footpath above the Lindner Spa - can't remember the name- to the West of the Cable car to the ski resort. Will look it up. Lucky you btw - it's lovely there.
Edit: Hotel Waldhaus. Warning though, there is a guy who plays the keyboard most nights - ask to sit far away if you don't like that sort of thing. he is quite good though. Food and traditional decor excellent.

Sorry, Odile - haven't been away .... but this thread dates from April last year - where'd'ya pick it up from?
Grynch is on curfew at the moment, anyway - otherwise his ankle starts to flash and bleep.
